LeGrandMission Child Develpment Center
The Costa Rican govenment contacted us to let us know of an urgent need: They need a facility to care for young adolescent mothers and their babies. Currently, we are submitting new documentation to be approved, both by the Health Department and Child Services, to serve as a home for teenage girls and their babies. We are ready! The Costa Rican child protection agency is currently in reorganization. We already have approvals to care for impoverished children during the day. That being said, our board decided that we needed to serve the community now! The Child Development Center opened on October 6th, 2025 to serve the most disadvantaged in the San Pedro de Poas community. We will provide food, education, care, love, counseling, and family support.
